Part 1
Part 1 is a multiple choice theory test followed by a hazard perception test which is computer based.
The multiple choice theory test consists of 100 questions and the pass mark is 85%. The time given for this test is 90 minutes. The hazard perception test will be taken just after your multiple choice test and will last for around 15 minutes. The aim of this test is too identify 15 hazards as quickly as you can from 14 different clips. The pass mark for this test is 57 points out of a possible 75 points.
Part 2
This is a practical driving test. The test usually lasts 1 hour and you will complete all the set manoeuvres which you are expected to do at a high standard. This test is similar to the L test for learner drivers how unlike the learners you will only be allowed 6 minor faults instead of 15 and the faults you commit on this test may be more critically assessed than the L test.
